Why do they keep showing up?
I want to make this as clear as possible: I have no idea what I'm really doing. I know that I and the rest of the team have a vision, and that we are really passionate about the music and the art that we are creating , but as far as all this technical stuff... we really don't know .
When I told a friend of mine we were venturing into the music industry, he said: where's your bag of money? The way this system works, you don't get heard unless you've got some bills to grease the wheels. We don't have that... but we have people. Friends, family, and advisors who let us know when we're headed in the right direction, and are always willing help us when we aren't. With that being said... let's catch up as to why we couldn't post last Friday:
Art N Soul Sessions
First off, I had the privilege of performing at the Art N Soul Sessions. Its made possible by the same team at The Earwaxx Sessions, so you already know its LI certified, and dope. Best way to describe it is this: Picture an empty warehouse filled up by visual artwork, graphic designers, and a bunch of artsy, avant-garde millenials who need an outlet after this presidential election. So many dope artists and vendors, that I don't want to start listing and forget anyone. Check out the flyer and follow ALL OF THEM!!! Polaris EP Listening Session
The day after performing at Art N Soul, I had the privilege of previewing my debut EP Polaris to a few select supports and some exclusive press outlets. There's so much for me to say about that night, but the one word that comes to mind is "cathartric." Seeing the outpouring of support, and people's reactions to the music and the concepts really was reassuring. Especially because we really have no idea what we're doing. I just want to thank Chateau D'Esclans for that Whispering Angel, Genius.com, and Dream Studios for helping make this event such a success for me. Polaris EP coming soon!
