Ending the Year Right
This isn't the last blog post of the year, but its definitely the calm before the storm. We've come a long way as business owners, artists, and label owners. We still are learning so much, but there's something to be said for growth. The one thing that makes it all possible is your endless support. The people who keep showing up, buying our merch, and hitting us up with opportunities... there's nothing we can say to really show you how thankful we really are.
With that being said, we've got some news related to all that growth! An official date for The Label Noir's first project! My (Ursa Major's) EP is coming out December 16th, 2016! Polaris will be available for streaming through Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, Google Play Amazon Music, and whatever else you use probably. I'm encouraging everyone to stream it one time and then buy it if you like! There's so much new music coming out though, so please stream responsibly!
Next up, Solomon Peck and I have a few shows lined up for December. We'll have the privilege of opening for the album release of our esteemed former professor, Jonathan Quash. We'll be sending you that flyer as soon as we can.
Then, I'll be performing again at the Art N Soul Sessions on December 16th.
Finally, and maybe even most importantly, we're proud to announce another Label Noir Night! If you've been rocking with us since the summer, you'll remember the first Label Noir Night was in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. It was a night where we just wanted to perform, called up some friends who also do music, and made it happen. This time, we've partnered with the great people at The Earwaxx Sessions to bring you the same vibes. The coolest part is that we get to choose the other acts that perform, and I'm going to be the headliner for the first time ever, in celebration of the EP release.
Last bit of news! Shout out to Brandon Nix for interviewing Ursa Major on his podcast. I'll post the link below. Its my first time being interviewed, so definitely check it out and let me know what you think.
Like we said, there's a lot going on, we're continuing to grow, and its all thanks to you and your support. A few people have been asking what they can do to support. Right now, the best way, besides pre-ordering a label noir hoodie (shameless plug), is to tell a friend. If you like what we've done so far, or like what we're trying to do, please spread the word.
